Spiridor Bar by Elizabeth Lux and e15 for Stählemühle Editions
Spiridor is a freestanding bar designed by Elisabeth Lux for award winning high-end distillery Stählemühle Edition.
Elisabeth Lux’s luxurious Spiridor Bar comes equipped with a collection of Stählemühle spirits and a set of four glasses.
Made from European walnut with a brass frame, the Spirador features an LED light that bathes the interior in a soft golden light. The design features two symmetrical flaps that open on either side, keeping drinks at room temperature and shielding them from light.
Although popular in the post war period, Stählemühle Edition observed how drinks cabinets have mostly fallen out of production and are increasingly hard to find. Recognizing a gap in the market, Stählemühle Edition found this design by Elisabeth Lux in autumn 2011 and worked with German manufacturers e15 to put it into production in a limited edition of three for 2013.
The Spirador was part of a collection of limited edition barware and accessories designed by a group of artists and designers selected by Stählemühle Edition including pieces by architect Philipp Mainzer, designer Saskia Diez and artist Mark Braun.
