Making a stand against deforestation and promoting the use of existing resources, the Maru stool by Yokohama-based furniture manufacturer Daniel is made entirely using wood from fallen trees.
Maru is a timeless stool that’s made in Japan using sustainably sourced solid wood.
Part of Daniel’s contemporary Camome Collection designed by Japanese studio Leif.designpark, Maru is crafted in Yokohama by highly skilled craftsmen. The stool’s comfortable sculpted seat is smoothly sanded and finished with elegant brass fittings and clear lacquer.
Maru was developed in collaboration with the Rebirth Project, a multi-faceted business with a philosophy that focuses on sustainable development.

About the manufacturer: Camome is a contemporary collection of furniture and design accessories that was launched in 2013 by Yokohama-based furniture manufacturer Daniel. The collection consists of simple solid wood furniture for both modern and classic interiors. This collection is produced using materials with a low environmental impact such as timber from fallen trees and timber planks that are rejected by factories for having an uneven grain.
