Domo by Rqr Studio for LZF
Made up of 8 wooden petals, the Domo lamp by Valencia-based studio Rqr for Spanish lighting brand LZF is inspired by dome-shaped designs from the 1970s.
The Domo pendant lamp features a dome-shaped diffuser made up of 8 petal-shaped wooden panels.
In particular, the designers took inspiration from ‘Get Smart’ – an American comedy television series of the 1960s and 70s about an inept spy called ‘Agent 86′. The show featured a comical device called the’Cone of Silence’, which was designed to protect secret of conversations by enshrouding its users within a dome-shaped, transparent and sound-proof shield.
Domo’s natural wood veneer diffuser is available in 11 colors.
