Air Kitchen by deVol
Shown at last month’s 100% Design trade show in London, the new Air Kitchen by British kitchen brand deVol is a new contemporary kitchen that combines modern eco-materials and time honoured construction techniques.
The smooth, understated curved lines of deVol’s Air Kitchen are inspired by iconic designs from the last century.
Vintage automobile construction, the hulls of working boats and the iconic Airstream caravan are all 20th century design classics which inspired the design of deVol’s curvy Air kitchen.
Comprising aluminium panels, polished rivets and futuristic push-to-open solid surface doors, the Air kitchen is made in the UK from warm oak, laminate and cutting-edge eco-materials such as recycled aluminium ore and acrylic resin.

About the manufacturer: deVOL was founded in 1989 by two design graduates from Loughborough University, Philip deVries and Paul O'Leary. The name deVOL is an amalgamation of their initials. Based in Leicestershire in the UK, The two business partners renovated antique furniture and designed and made bespoke furniture for clients from their small rented workshop. After 10 years Philip set up a property business and Paul bought a Georgian shop on the High Street in the town of Quorn in Leicestershire to showcase deVOL's range of freestanding kitchen furniture.
