Japanese architect Jo Nagasaka's introduced his striking Udukuri dining table for Brit brand Established & Sons in 2012. This month, during London Design Festival, Est & Sons introduced a new coffee table, side table, credenza with sliding doors and a new chair all made using the same combination of wood and pigmented resin.
Called Iro, Jo Nagasaka's new collection for Established & Sons combines the avant-garde with a purposeful, Japanese minimalist style.
On show at the firm's East London headquarters, Iro combines brightly colored pigmented resin with untreated Douglas fir. The collection's elegant and smooth finishing highlights the beautiful properties of the natural grain of the wood enclosed within the resin.
A selection of different colored resins are available including various hues of red, blue, green and yellow. The collection includes an upholstered armchair with matching fabric to complement the resin.
