Perhaps the next best thing to a butler, the traditional gentleman’s valet stand is making a comeback with designs of all shapes and sizes appearing at trade shows across the globe. From flat pack fluoro to finely crafted Canaletto walnut, we round up five of the best.

New London-based design studio Brose~Fogale launched its debut product at this year’s Salone del Mobile in the form of a flat pack valet stand. Available in solid oak or fluorescent powder-coated steel with a mirror in hand polished copper or chrome, the Camerino brings the traditional valet stand into the 21st century. The Camerino is currently looking for backers via crowd-funding site Kickstarter, lend a helping hand here.

Philippe Nigro‘s impeccably presented Groom valet stand for Hermes is finely crafted from solid Canaletto walnut wood with storage features made from brushed stainless steel or upholstered in hand stitched bull calf leather. The back of the full length, rotating mirror incorporates a hook, storage pouch and tie rack, while the walnut jewelry compartment, steel accessory holder and upholstered bag rest take care of those finishing touches.

Launched earlier this year at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Berlin-based designers KaschKasch’s full length Check mirror doubles up as a clothes rail that leans nonchalantly against the wall.

Designed by Gaston Tolila and Nicholas Gilliland for French brand La Chance, Jeeves is an updated interpretation of the traditional valet/jacket stand. The luxurious wall-mounted design is available in various combinations of black stained ash/walnut and marble.

The design of Ilaria Marelli‘s Ruben coat stand for Casamania recalls the playful stance of a deer with its four splayed legs and upright antlers. The lacquered metal structure is available in white, green or blue, with an accessories tray in solid oak.
