Parrish Side Chair by Konstantin Grcic for Emeco
Part of a collection of furniture designed by Konstantin Grcic for the Parrish Art Museum in New York, the Parrish side chair is made from recycled aluminium and reclaimed pine.
Visually balanced and environmentally sound, German designer Konstantin Grcic’s Parrish side chair is manufactured by American brand Emeco.
The chair was officially launched by aluminum specialists Emeco earlier this year in Milan. The design features a simple tubular steel frame and a neat reclaimed pine seat that is suitable for use both indoors and out.
The chair seat is also available in Agate Grey-colored Reclaimed Polypropylene, Lancaster Maple Wood, Lancaster Walnut Wood, Divina Melange 2-120 Fabric or Spinneybeck 923 Leather upholstery.
The complete Parrish collection also includes a table and lounge chair and can be seen installed at the modest Parrish Art Museum building on Long Island by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. Like the museum, the chair combines subtle design with a heartfelt technical core.
