Coalesse debuted two new collections, the Massaud Collection, and Lagunitas at NeoCon 2013.

The Massaud Collection by internationally renowned French architect, inventor and designer Jean-Marie Massaud (shown below) features a lounge chair, work lounge, ottoman, canopy, and family of executive chairs.

With the Massaud Collection, Jean-Marie Massaud has incorporated his vision for simple, comfortable, and functional design to create a complete collection of products that re-imagines the way we work and live.

In our connected world, work and life are merging, and the Massaud Work Lounge challenges the desk as the dominant symbol for productive work. It features an integrated height-adjustable swivel tablet and an adjustable headrest that accommodates long-term relaxed postures. Cords may pass through at the base to the seat cushion to allow for charging mobile devices. The Ottoman opens for storage and also features outside pockets.

Debuting as a concept at NeoCon 2013, the Massaud Lounge with Canopy enables users to be in control of their work environment and their level of privacy. The Canopy features adjustable LED lighting, video conferencing and hands-free device support.

The collection is completed by a family of Executive chairs available in three back heights and two upholstery options including a duvet version. A common design thread links the entire collection and offers a remedy to the traditional corporate office.

Lagunitas is a customizable lounge and table collection designed by Milan-based, Toan Nguyen. The collection was born out of the idea that today’s creative professionals need a non-traditional work space where they toggle between work and life activities or between being alone and gathering with others. Panels can create a private space and the lounge seating and tables offer power solutions for technology users.

As an alternative to a traditional home or office work space, Lagunitas provides combinations for varying degrees of privacy and multi-modal support.

Lagunitas also offers a unique articulating back cushion, allowing for both lean back postures to relax and socialize and lean forward postures for concentrated work.

Designer Toan Nguyen said of the collection, “Our goal was to find solutions to the new live/work behaviors with a minimalistic, all-in-one collection which can be composed very easily with great versatility in a natural way.”
