Sonneman’s 2013 Collection Plays Up Geometry and Color
New York-based lighting manufacturer Sonneman is making some bold statements with its 2013 collection, debuting more than 130 new introductions that feature innovations with LED technology as well as new shapes that play with color and geometric forms. Read on to see some highlights from the new portfolio:
The company is adding to a collection that already includes more than 1,200 lighting designs
An homage to Gerrit Rietveld's 1917 tube light fixture, Axes is a modern LED sculpture in the De Stijl style. It is available as solo luminaire or in an infinite variety of compositions.
Sky is a simple composition of a few basic elements: a clear base reveals the colored cord within, while a minimal shade completes the table lamp’s shape.
Cone‘s large scale and bright color brings a classic mid-century shape into the future.
Designed in collaboration with Peter Polick, Starflex‘s five arms move with a gentle touch, or can be locked in place for a specific shape. The lamp features glare-free LEDs.
The new Lattice LED fixture is a constellation of glowing elements that can be connected in several compositions.
The Chimes chandelier is brought to life by the subtle movement of warm bronze glass panels that rotate gently on monofilaments, creating a kinetic sculpture. The fixture Chimes is available in a range of sizes and can even be specified to cover an entire custom ceiling.
