ICFF 2013: Radiata light by Studio DUNN
Launched at last week’s ICFF in NYC, the jellyfish-inpsired Radiata pendant lamp is Studio Dunn‘s second lighting design.
Drawing inspiration from the moon jellyfish of the same name, the Radiata pendant lamp translates one of nature's most elegant creatures into a luminous, functional object.
This glowing, orb-like design boasts gently sloping curves that are designed to mimic the graceful motion of a floating jellyfish. To amplify the effect, thin, bright filaments of light shine through the blown-glass diffuser, just like a jellyfish’s illuminated body.
Available in Smoke Grey or Opal White glass, the design looks particularly effective when hung in groupings, to make a dramatic focal point above a staircase of dining table.
