The Egyptian Folding Chair by Ole Wanscher
Originally designed in 1957, Ole Wanscher’s Danish design classic, the Egyptian Folding Chair, is inspired by Ancient Egypt and Thebes.
Ole Wanscher’s folding chair exudes dignity and power.
The design has been in and out of production over its 55-year history, but is now firmly back in production with Danish manufacturers Carl Hansen & Son.
Lightweight but sturdy, a saddle-leather seat is supported by a folding, solid wood frame. When in use, the chair measure just 22″ w. x 12″ d. x 16″ h, making it perfect for small space living. The seat, which is available in black cognac and natural butt leather, neatly folds down into the frame for convenient storage.
