The Bubble Lamp by Nika Zupanc
Earlier this year on Designer Pages we published a round up of ten the Globe-Shaped Lamps that will add a sun-shaped breath of fresh air into any interior. The Bubble lamp by Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc and produced by Vistosi is another design that fits perfectly into this category.
Hand-blown in pink Murano glass, Nika Zupanc’s Bubble lamp has a lightweight and delicate appearance
The lamp’s black metal stem and lamp holder is tapered to make the delicate pink glass diffuser look as if it has been blown out of the stem like a bubble. The design is available in 60 cm and 45 cm diameters and look particularly effective when hung in groups. Launched at Milan Design Week 2012 earlier this year, the lamp is part of Zupanc’s wider 2012 collection called Summertime.
