Silk Road by Jonah Takagi for Roll & Hill
Brooklyn-based lighting brand Roll & Hill have launched a new series of pendant lights called Silk Road by American designer Jonah Takagi. Layers of steel, glass and fabric are cleverly layered to create a sculptural pendant lamp.
Archetypal lighting forms, materials and textures are assembled in an emotional luminaire.
The lamp is made of a spun-metal shade that sits atop a large piece of hand-blown glass, which surrounds a tapered wire cage and a traditional pleated lampshade.
The design is available in three different color combinations; specifiers can choose from a brushed copper shade with moss-colored glass and cream pleated fabric, a brushed brass shade with tobacco-colored glass and cream pleated fabric, or an army green-colored metal shade with smoked glass and a blackened steel wire cage.
