Taking a shower while lying down may not sound like the most conventional way to get clean but the experts over at German bathroom design brand Dornbracht believe that the Horizontal Shower experience can provide total relaxation.

Designed by German design studio Sieger Design, the Horizontal shower takes an unconventional approach to showering by allowing users to shower while lying down.

The Horizontal Shower combines six shower heads that are recessed into a broad shower field above the reclining space. An ‘Ambiance Tuning Technique’ uses pre-programmed flows and temperatures of water to create massaging experiences. The user can choose between effects such as Balancing, Energixing or De-stressing. For those that like to stay in control, the water temperature, intensity and quantity can otherwise be controlled using the eTOOL, a small control panel located beside the head of the reclined user.
