Using a newly-developed weaving technology, Swedish flooring firm Bolon have created a woven flooring that has an optical three dimensional appearance. Called Create, the collection will bring your floors to life, quite literally.

Working much like a hologram,  the colors of Create shift spectacularly between shades of light and dark, depending on where in the room you are standing, how the light falls and how the flooring is laid. It’s available in a choice of ten designs, half of them plain and half patterned. The designers have used a color palette with a brown base interspersed with colorful splashes of orange, purple, blue, green and beige.

The futuristic design actually appears like it’s made of silk and has a surprisingly, discernible textile feel. Guaranteed to have a long life, Create is also a sound environmental choice due to Bolon’s revolutionary phthalate-free plasticiser made from renewable raw materials. Customers can buy the design by the roll or as a tile.
