IIDEX 2012: Projek Task Chair by Teknion and Orangebox
It’s always good to check out what our neighbors across the pond are doing, and it’s even better when we get to try it stateside. The partnership between office manufacturer Teknion and innovative U.K. office furniture company Orangebox has brought one such opportunity to American offices. Tekion now offers Projek task and guest chairs designed by and sold under license from Orangebox.
Projek is Greenguard Certified for Indoor Air Quality
The chair is designed with a weight-balancing mechanism that adapts to the user’s size; controls for seat height and depth and a height-adjustable lumbar support offer further customization. Projek’s task models are available with optional 2- and 3-D arms and headrest.

About the Manufacturers: Orangebox began with the introduction of Giroflex to the U.K. market in 1973 after securing a licensing agreement with the Swiss manufacturer. Twenty-five years later Mino Vernaschi led a management buyout and began a process of reinvigoration, beginning with the G64 task chair, expansion into soft seating and the company's rebranding and formation of Orangebox in 2002. Today, Orangebox is recognized as one of the U.K.’s most progressive, innovative and successful office furniture companies.
