Marbling has been a big trend in interiors and design this year, so textile designer Janey Whitehorn was well ahead of the curve when she launched Whitehorn in 2007, a luxury fabric  brand specializing in marbling.

Whitehorn updates traditional marbling patterns with fresh, modern color palettes for a contemporary take on this ancient craft.

Whitehorn works with fine silks to create a dazzlingly bright range of cushions and lampshades. The lampshades are hand marbled onto 100% Habotai silk and finished with either silk, cardboard or pvc backings and various trimmings. The cushions are also hand dyed using a marbling technique onto 100% Habotai silk and are finished with a variety of 100% Dupion silk backings and various trimmings. Due to the unpredictable nature of the technique, every design is unique. Commissions for bespoke sizes, styles and colorways to suit any interior space or unique furnishings are available.
