The word “storage” seems like a mundane term for the new shape-shifting shelving system created by Sebastian Schönheit for interdisciplinary design company My Bauhaus Is Better Than Yours.

Freestanding, stacking units don’t require hardware and shift to meet a range of space requirements

Units consist of four stacking shelves that can slide horizontally to open up more space for taller items or fit a certain type of space. The coated plywood piece doesn’t require screws or brackets and its coated steel back allows it to double as a magnetic bulletin board when the shelf is used as a freestanding element.
