Play of Light Collection by Mohawk
Just in time for the new school year, Mohawk Group have launched the Play of Light collection; a environmentally friendly modular carpeting solution that will improve students’ safety and focus by reducing noise to prevent distractions and also improve indoor air quality.
The collection’s three luminous patterns, called Filtering Through, Streaming In and Radiating Out, are inspired by the adaptive nature of light and how it can be reflected, refracted and filtered.
The multiple pile heights create varying textures in nine brilliant colorways ranging from tone neutrals to defined color.
Not only do the designs look good, they are also made with groundbreaking performance and durability that is needed for high-traffic environments. The collection is manufactured with environmentally friendly SmartStrand® Contract with DuPontâ„¢ Sorona® (SmartStrand) – a fully recyclable and rapidly renewable bio-based flooring solution made with 37-percent renewably sourced polymer, that requires 30-percent less energy to manufacture than nylon.
Also notable, is the collection’s built-in stain resistance, vibrant color retention and ability to improve the indoor air quality by trapping allergens in its fiber and preventing them from circulating back into the air.
Although the Play of Light range is built to last, when it finally does come to the end of its life, it can be reclaimed and recycled through Mohawk Group's ReCover program to reduce harmful impact on landfills.
