Mé lange by Virginia Langley for Durkan
‘s Hospitality division, Durkan, have introduced a new dramatic floral design range of carpets created by its long-time design partner Virginia Langley. Thanks to new technology, the designs precisely capture Langley’s intricate prints and patterns, such as dew drops on a petal and the shadow of a stem, in 56-percent higher resolution than traditional solutions.
M© lange fuses the delicate nature of the lotus flower with bold Spanish styling
Langley has cleverly magnified and layered exotic blooms with swirling block prints to create 33 patterns that provide a well-balanced selection of bold designs that feature daring pink and red colorways, as well as more subdued options that offer a greater proportions of neutral color. The patterns are available as corridor, medallion rugs and various scale-sized broadlooms.
The richly colored designs are printed using Durkan’s Spectronics 25X digital printing technology for exceptional color penetration and elaborate design precision. There are also 15 CYP (Computer Yarn Placement) and 18 print options. By specifying CYP, designers can create dense, luxurious textured carpets that rival more expensive woven counterparts in appearance and performance.
