Edition by Marcus Koepke for Gunlocke
American seating brand Gunlocke has unveiled its latest swivel chair which promises to be its most comfortable to date. Designed by Marcus Koepke, Edition’s seat and back are helpfully designed to self-adjust to the user’s seating position, eliminating the need to make tricky mechanical lumbar adjustments.
Edition is a technology-driven, lightweight and flexible design that conforms to the user instead of vice versa.
A contoured steel frame supports flexible, high-performance mesh used in the seat and seatback. This innovative, supportive mesh moves in only one direction without sagging, while delivering robust-yet-comfortable suspension. Both of these components are then covered in ½-inch thick layer of molded foam, which can be topped off with any of Gunlocke's stylish upholstery options - fabric, vinyl or leather - for both mid- and high-back models.
Designer Marcus Koepke explains "It all comes down to conformity. The chair's inner mesh construction, as suspended by the steel frame, conforms to your body and creates true comfort. Both the seat and the seatback continuously conform to you, dynamically changing shape and adjusting for fit with every movement you make. In this case, you're the rebel, and the chair's the conformist. That's not just a good thing. It's a great thing."
At home in any area of a workplace, Edition is available with or without polished aluminum or plastic arms and with a choice a black polymer or polished aluminum base.
