Green Thumbelina: The Elliot Modular Planter by Good Erdle
Sometimes it only takes a little change to spark something greater. Across houses and flats the world over, house plants remind people of the environment, of the beauty of nature, and of the necessity to maintain the natural world and its wonders. In keeping with this idea, the brothers behind Good Erdle have designed the Elliot Modular Planter, a clever, capricious, and careless pot for apartment dwellers everywhere.

Small Stoneware Planters Bring a Bit of Nature Indoors
Made of white stoneware clay, the Elliot Modular Planter is handmade in Illinois. Featuring a matte finish, this Lilliputian wonder works alone, in pairs, or in any group you can put together. Each piece sits on groovy elfin legs, which is a smart detail, given that you can snake cords underneath Elliot if necessary. The planters have no drainage holes, so there won’t be any leaking onto prized possessions.
Elliot Modular Planter combines flat sides with beautifully rounded edges, enabling you to fit the units together in a wide array of intoxicating arrangements. Personally, I like a group of eight in a circular formation—it has all the neatness of a topiary, all the compartmentalization of a train car, and all the balance of a Wheel of Fortune Tarot card.

About the Manufacturer: Good Erdle was launched in 2012 by siblings Andrew and Richard Erdle, who believe “the world doesn’t need more products, just different ones.” Thanks to the Erdle brothers’ interest in ceramics, they united to start a company that would offer fresh and beautiful products in the medium.
