Boffi’s Othello Bathroom Cabinets by Nendo

The bathroom is one of my favorite rooms in a home, only, of course, if its interior is simple, smooth and uncluttered. Modern design makes it even better.  Hair products, soaps, towels, lotions and potions always make their way into view, creating clutter in a space that should be where we take a moment to retreat and pamper.  Who better to remedy this but Boffi.

Out of View and into Othello

Sometimes sparse in a bathroom can mean not enough storage...but, not when you incorporate products such as Boffi's innovative Othello bathroom cabinets. Designed by Nendo, Othello is functional and fabulous, modern and simple. Made with white Corian®, the bathroom cabinets are available as open face units or with mirrored doors. Even more incredible is the main feature: doors that rotate 180° closing and opening the next unit.  Both sides of the cabinet doors are done in a different material: one side white Corian and the other mirror. Of course you wouldn't expect anything less than concealed door hinges either. The hardware is integrated in the cabinet and completely out of sight (like the theme of my bathroom). Want a metal handle? The matte white, varnished metal handle is fixed to the door magnetically. Othello is available in 3 units and 2 doors, making it perfect as a single unit or for use as multiple units if you've got more stuff (and more wall space!).

I love how the details are well thought out, keeping clutter out of sight and design front of mind.

About the Manufacturer: Boffi was established in 1934 as a small kitchen furniture workshop. Art Director Piero Lissoni and CEO Roberto Gavazzi joined in 1989, and completed the first overarching bathroom concept, forging new territory, and expanding the brand's production and distribution to garner accolades, including the prestigious "Compasso d'Oro" in 1995. The company has evolved to span a network of more than 400 retail and trade partners, including twenty-three stand-alone Boffi showrooms positioned in key cities across the globe. In 2010 Boffi partnered with Fantini to create a new concept, "Aboutwater", a collection of modern, elegant bathroom taps designed by Piero Lissoni and Naoto Fukasawa. Within the same year, Boffi enriched the range of products with "Solferino", a wardrobe system. Boffi continues to pursue the most beautiful forms and technological innovations to service the ultimate lifestyle, anchored by kitchens, bath and beyond; the perfect mix of modernity and tradition.
