Dress Up any Contract Environment with the Fun and Functional Chat-Board
I’m not sure if I can count on two hands the number of times I’ve mentioned in these pages work by Andy Warhol—mostly because he was one of the first artists to link art and design with the age of mechanical reproduction. Accordingly, his work is often referenced in contemporary A&D (whether intentionally or not). But who knew an exceptionally pragmatic product designed for contract environments would reference the very same? Chat-Board, that’s who. The Denmark-based company’s collection of magnetic glass write boards bears an unmistakable resemblance to Warhol’s famous celebrity prints, not only because of their pronounced geometricality, but also owing to their vivid coloration.

Chat-Board Fuses Excellent Functionality with High Style
These magnetic glass write boards have a full range of potential uses. Originally designed in mind of the decorative and design needs of modern corporate headquarters and private homes, the product’s potential uses have grown to encompass hospitals, reception areas, classrooms, student lounges, even trendy cafes.
The versatility of the product is owed in large measure to the extensive aesthetic variety. The magnetized glass boards come in multiple colors with varied surface characteristics. Chat-Board offers 18 color options (include a silver projectable version for conference rooms) and nine standard sizes ranging from the dimensions of a large picture frame (8 x 12 inches) to that of a small theater screen (48 x 80). Larger sizes are available upon request.
Chat-Board designed their collection of magnetic glass write boards in mind of function as well as fashion. Uses range from memo boards (even a permanent marker is easily erase-able with a little window cleaner), to corporate presentation screens, to decorative accessories. The great range of colors deeds exceptional aesthetic versatility—they can be easily incorporated into existing corporate color schemes, for instance.
Chat-Boards are easy to install. They can simply be drilled and attached to the magnetic substrate or permanently glued. Optional accessories include matching glass shelves, acrylic pen trays, magnetic erasers, and suction cups. All Chat-Boards feature a protective shatterproof laminate for safety.
About the Manufacturer: A brand of Focus Products, Chat-Board was founded in 1982 by designer Hans Henning Jensen as a manufacturer of “monitor screen filters based on optically coated glass panels.” When Josefine Honoré joined the company in 2003, she devised the Chat-Board: “a glass memo board based on a combination of her interior design ideas and her father’s experience in the field of technical glass.” The resultant product shows tremendous aesthetic versatility and an extensive range of uses for offices, lounges, conference rooms, and breakout areas, not to mention hospitals, classrooms, cafes, and private homes.
