Do the Slender LED Twist: Light Spring by Ron Gilad for Flos
A frozen tendril of aluminum and methacrylate captures the visual of a single pogo stick spring mid-flight. While I’m all about spicing up a room with rich textures and a splash of color, a curvy little piece of elegant lighting with a minimalist edge – like the Light Spring by Ron Gilad – is all the ambiance a room really needs.

High Style, Cutting Edge LED Lighting: The Light Spring Wall Lamp by Ron Gilad for Flos
Described by Flos as a “single (or double) wall mounted LED light fixture providing indirect light”, the Light Spring bounds off the expanses of columns or walls with the butler effect like a guiding sconce. Its wall-mounted nature makes it easy to use as a singular light, with a tall upper light like a candle, as a double light, with its upper and lower lights stretching out in opposite directions, and as a family of the two that interconnect, forming a brilliant checkerboard.
Made for the indoors, the Light Spring variations were created by Ron Gilad in a 15.7″ and 24.37″ heights – with 3.77″ depths and a 4.9″ bulb diameter – several can be combined to create lighting fixtures of their own, unique dimensions. To take its modular feel to a new level, Gilad made sure each head can be rotated 45° on its vertical axis for a flexibility. Within the construction of the wall light, an injection molded diffuser made of methacrylate with a photo-engraved internal finish works hand in hand with the energy-efficient light bulb in creating its indirect effect.
The energizing collaboration between the efficient LED bulbs, eco-friendly white paint finish, and the way it casts a backlit glow on any surface makes the Light Spring wall lamps by Ron Gilad a radiant choice for interior, indirect lighting.
