The R-Cast Texture Line of Resin Panels by Reynolds Polymer
What if you could take a material with the strength, durability, and transparency necessary to build thousand gallon aquariums and infuse it with twisting skeins of ice blue, or pulsating shots of blood red? You'd certainly have something with aesthetic appeal-and that's just one selling point for the R-Cast Texture Series of Resin Panels by Reynolds Polymer.

The proprietors of Grand Junction, Colorado's Spring Hill Suites Hotels were as surprised as anyone to find that Reynolds Polymer had branched out into smaller venues. Primarily known as a-in some circles, the-manufacturer of large-scale commercial aquariums, Reynolds chose that locale to sample some of their more petite wares.
"I was shocked and excited when I found out we had some of Reynolds' stuff in here," said Spring Hill Suites owner Kevin Reimer. "You see their big aquariums everywhere, so to be able to have something of theirs that fits in our lobby is exciting."
Among said items one finds a long length of curved cladding for a semi-circular reception desk, a 22-foot long lobby bar, and a pair of 10-foot long breakfast station tables.
These pieces tend toward the sort of aqueous translucence that, fittingly, evokes an oceanic atmosphere, but one advantage of Reynolds Polymer R-Cast Texture panels is their facility with varied coloration. By employing a special dye sublimation process, the panels can take on nearly any hue, as well as any creative combination of colors.
In addition to this distinctive coloration, The R-Cast Texture line features intriguing textural variations etched into the acrylic surface: everything from a translucent frosted look to deep crevices and undulations that evoke natural phenomena-like wind on sand dunes or the pull of the moon on ocean waves.
Thicknesses for the R-Cast Textures line range from .25 to 1 inches. Standard sheet sizes are 4' x 4' or 4' x 8', but Reynolds Polymer provides custom sizes upon request. The applications for Reynolds Polymer R-Cast Textures resin panels are many and varied, including decorative panels, partitions, water features, signage, furniture, and nearly any countertop surface.
About the Manufacturer: Reynolds Polymer began their foray into the wild world of over-sized acrylic panels as a manufacturer of containment tanks for water features and aquarium walls. The material is tailor-made for that application, as it possesses tremendous durability and strength, and it maintains transparency at nearly any thickness. The R-Cast Textures Line takes the same material and molds it into smaller architectural features with excellent color absorption properties and stunning textural variations.
