The Optimax Desk and Chair by Vanerum Stelter
We enjoy it when something’s function fits nicely within itself. Take the small and uniquely efficient paperclip, for instance. Pull out the inner rounded edge for a clasp so gripping it’s no wonder they are part of every essential office toolkit. Similarly, the Optimax Desk and Chair by Vanerum Stelter use spatial efficiency and style to create a studious desk with a small footprint.

The Frame of the Optimax Desk and Chair Fits Within Itself to Create More Using Less Square Footage.
With a 1.125” table top thickness, the slight angle of the Optimax Desk is a strong surface with ample space for your book and pad of paper. Made out of standard core construction, this 44 lb density particle board is finished with a 2mm vinyl edgeband that is applied with medium viscosity adhesive and a Greenguard-certified HPL (high pressure laminate) that Vanerum Stelter uses across the board as a laminate option.
The seat is noticeably the addition that makes this duo furnishing click. It’s legs slide inside of the desk legs so keenly that its architecture – made primarily from a Soliwood material of 17 ply beech wood layers and 13-gauge steel tube legs – are just what any classroom would dream of having to avoid the inevitable chaos of normal tables and chairs. Not to mention the footrest underneath that comes with holes at 1.5″ increments and has a glossy powder-coated steel finish to match the entire design. Fitted with black injection-molded frame caps and end caps, this mobile little desk-chair combo measures in at 27.5″W x 21.5″D x 38″H (desk) and 20″W x 23.5″D x 25″H (chair).
Transform your classroom into an efficient and fully-functioning space with the Optimax Desk and Chair that uses its smarts to completely revamp the way we think about Educational design as an experimental field.
