A chair shouldn’t try hard–it shouldn’t try to be too flat, or too curvy. In fact, it shouldn’t try at all – it should just fit. Although I’d love to take credit for this thought as one that was sprung out of nowhere, it’s inspired by the contract seating known as the Zeno Chair Series by Wolfgang C.R. In a slim fitting aluminum frame that can come powdercoated if desired, the cantilever base gives appears to have a floating seat. In a single piece of pressed beech wood, this sleek seat flows into its seatback in a thin, strong form. It shines in luxury settings and lounge settings of hospitals, hotels, and offices alike. The Zeno Chair Series come with a polished finish on the top surface and a textured glass bead-blasted underside and can be armless, or can come with wood or black resin arms at its side.
