Jason Wu and Brizo Present the Powder Room Collection
Like John-Paul Gaultier’s collection of upholstered beds and sofas for Roche Bobois, the new Jason Wu for Brizo line signals an auspicious synthesis of high fashion and high design. The brand and the designer are long-time collaborators, yet the Jason Wu for Brizo Collection marks the first comprehensive bathroom suite authored by the famed fashion designer.

Jason Wu and Brizo Offer Timeless Elegance in a Bathroom Suite
Earlier collaborations between Wu and Brizo centered on marketing and public relations materials, such as exclusive fashion designs for advertising campaigns and events. Owing to Wu’s distinctive style, these campaigns were memorable in their own right, but both designer and manufacturer have long anticipated the incarnation of Wu’s unique vision into the tangible products of interior design.
The Powder Room Collection thus presented Brizo with a unique challenge—merging his fashion sensibilities and design aesthetic with the technological savvy of Brizo products: “As a designer I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the Brizo product team to translate my designs into a collection of products for the home.”
The centerpiece of the Jason Wu for Brizo Collection is the Odin Faucet. A bold piece that manages to fuse clean geometricity with an organic silhouette, the black matte Odin boasts several cutting-edge features that refine water delivery into high art: a seamless rotating handle; SmartTouchPlus™ Technology (starts and stops water flow with a simple touch, or even from four inches away from the faucet); LED light display to indicate water temp.; and a 1.5 gallon/minute flow to meet water sense standards.
Much as fashion accessories modulate the overall effect of clothing, Wu’s Powder Room Collection is rife with complementary additions and integrated decorative touches. The collection includes a wastebasket, free-standing soap pump, soap dish, and drawer knobs and pulls. Each of these items subtly reflects the central showpiece of the faucet, without merely copying it. With a distinctive finish palette that incorporates cool polished chrome and soft brushed nickel, Wu achieves a unique aesthetic, one that combines Scandinavian styling with Baroque flourish, thus allowing homeowners to “infuse the collection’s style throughout the space to create one seamless, integrated design.”
About the Manufacturer: Brizo’s namesake gives consumers a great sense of the company’s abiding philosophy: “Named for a Greek goddess who appeared in the dreams of mariners, Brizo products blend distinctive designs with inventive technologies.” The company has a history of collaboration with the world of high fashion. As the primary sponsor of Jason Wu’s fashion shows, and the first national sponsor of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, Brizo is dedicated to helping consumers create their idealized kitchens and baths. The manufacturer’s line includes faucets for kitchen and bath, as well as accessories and a comprehensive collection of shower fixtures.
