The Clean Lines of Foundation Healthcare Seating by Stylex
The definition of “simple sophistication” is a VW Passat, a pair of Theory pants, and the contract furniture manufactured by Stylex. With their Foundation Healthcare Seating, the strong, clean lines bring out the refined purpose that was sought when Stylex started manufacturing chairs in the early 1950s.

Recycled Tubular Steel and Modern Lines: The Beautiful Foundation Healthcare Seating by Stylex .
The Foundation Healthcare Seating comes in three different sizes – Guest, Bariatric, and Loveseat. Apart from their versatility in dimensions which help to design the ideal healthcare facility, the Foundation Collection comes in fourteen different neutral finishes that range from glossy and metallic to textured looks. As Stylex states, “Foundation Healthcare offers the same elegant simplicity as its namesake, but has been modified to accommodate a broad range of users who may not enjoy the same degree of mobility as the general population.”
Made from a tubular steel frame made from recycled content, the collection was made to withstand heavy use that is specified for the healthcare industry. Each chair within the Foundation Healthcare line are angled upright to make sitting and standing a cinch, while the seat and back feature a concealed clean-out to make them ergonomic. The dimensions for each Foundation Healthcare seating option are: Guest (24″W x 32″H x 18.5″D), Bariatric (33″W x 32″H x 18.5″D), and Loveseat (45″W x 32″H x 18.5″D).
Beyond the expectations set in many healthcare furnishings, the results of heavy attention to detail and durable, sustainable design paid off when Stylex took their simple sophistication to the line of Foundation Healthcare seating.
About the Manufacturer: After unsuccessfully searching for refined seating, the Golden family decided to create their own manufacturing company back in 1956. They called it Stylex. Presently, Bruce and John Golden continue to run the family business that has evolved into an inventive contract furniture company that requires each of their employees to learn everything about the brand and purpose of the company.
