T36 & T173 Seating by Paolo Giordano for I & I
Satisfying to no end is the appearance of way too many illustrating pens and pencils all lined up to any artist at heart. Designer Paolo Giordano of I + I may or may not merrily dream in a plethora of pencils, but his creation of his T 36 stool and its sidekick, the T 173 bench, help the rest of us fulfill our fantasies in solid form.
T 36 stool. Designed by Paolo Giordano. Manufactured by I + I.
Like Pencils, the Aluminum and Wood T 36 Stool and T 173 Bench by Paolo Giordano of I + I are Artistic and Fun
Like an exhibit from a science museum to be brought home into residential interior design projects, the T 36 stool is shaped like a “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” prop, except with the intent to fulfill a useful purpose in everyday situations. The irregular, cylindrical shapes on the stool and its T 173 bench by Giordano and I + I will be displayed at the Superdesign 2011 London show in its 5th presentation of the latest groundbreaking designs.
Both released as limited editions, they join the assortment of other internationally-designed products by I + I. Similar to pencils in more than just aesthetics, the anodized aluminum and lacquered wood of the set seem only to be missing a nubby rubber eraser and the lead inside.
Beautiful and playful is a hard combination to come by, but the artistic tool designs of T 36 and T 173 by Paolo Giordano for I + I make it soulful seating piece that will be the cause of many an artist’s reaction at Superdesign 2011 London.
