Sinhala Linen Print in Jewel.
The Sinhala Linen Print is a tree of life tradition that is obtained from French indienne cotton fabric. This option is 100% linen, which is perfect for heavy-duty uses such as seating, and even for drapery and wall upholstery. The blend of natural hues and subdued jewel tones suit many different types of spaces, while the expressive single panel is perfectly suited for modern interiors. The peice is available in five different color themes with understated sweet names such as Bittersweet and Pomegranate.
Derived from ikat textile, the Sikar Embroidery is a beautiful diamond pattern. It has varying stitch lengths to make the appearance of a warped fabric. The combination of neutral browns, and bright blues and magentas are surprising mixes that complement each other perfectly. This tightly woven linen and cotton fabric is fantastically versatile, and is perfect for upholstery, pillows and draperies.
In a zig zag chevron pattern, the Adras Ikat Print is a bold statement inspired by a printed silk textile found by Bullard during his travels. This print has saturated colors like pinks and yellows, and softer blues and greens, in 100% cotton poplin that is tightly woven. Inspired by a warp print, it has varying stitch lengths that also appear in the Sikar Embroidery textile. This particular fabric is perfect for adding an extra spark to an ordinary room, and best done in upholstery and curtains.
These are just a few of the featured pieces in the Martyn Lawrence Bullard for Schumacher collection. The fabrics are perfectly suited for mixing and matching the patterns into a beautiful, ethnically themed room design.
