KBIS Best of Bath Silver Award: Moen Flushmount Body Sprays

At the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, awards are not handed out lightly. As the world’s largest show dedicated to K+B products, KBIS sees a lot of designs—and yet they only hand out eight awards total, making a KBIS recognition quite an accomplishment. For the 2011 show in Las Vegas, Best in Bath Silver went to Moen and its Flushmount Body Sprays, a spray showerhead that fits cleanly against the wall, allowing an almost invisible shower system that delivers excellent spray without taking up valuable space in the shower.

The Moen Flushmount Body Spray blends in to any shower surface but still allows users to adjust the spray face: you can pivot water up to 20 degrees in all directions. Engineered with Moen precision, the flushmount sprays include a Fibonacci-inspired spray, a spiral-shaped nozzle pattern to provide full-body coverage. The showerheads also feature Moen’s innovative Immersion® rainshower technology to enhance the spray delivery. Moen explains that these body sprays “meet consumer demand for less cluttered showering systems and greater water adjustability.”

Besides their sleek styling, the Moen body sprays are easy to install and service. “Designed with the plumber in mind,” these showerheads have an adjustable mounting bracket that “ensures quick and easy alignment with adjacent body sprays and fits within a standard two-by-four foot wall.” They are also easily serviced from in front of the wall. Simple installation equals savings (always a benefit). The Moen Flushmount Body Sprays offer all the spa-like luxury of other rain showerheads without taking up space. Especially beneficial for small baths and modern designs that favor uninterrupted surfaces, these body sprays work beautifully and feature a wonderfully unassuming profile.

About the Manufacturer: Moen started accidentally in 1937 when Al Moen went to wash his hands at a two-handle faucet and was almost burned by a splash of hot water. At this moment, the idea of a single-handle faucet came to him—and this revolutionized the plumbing industry. Moen manufactures sinks, bathroom and kitchen faucets, and bathroom showering products. The company strives to create “timeless designs that reflect good taste.” Moen Incorporated is the #1 brand of faucets in North America.
