Serie 600 Storage Modules by VS America
If you’re like me, as late August rolls around and the summer light slants ever so slightly towards a more orange-y shade of Autumn, you just can’t wait to get back to school! Actually, I loathed the first appearance of the “Back-to-School” window signs. But that doesn’t keep the adult me from glancing an admiring eye toward the educational storage solutions of VS Furniture. The company’s 600 series, in particular, is a smart, durable, and visually interesting answer to unbound throngs of classroom stuff.
Series 600 Storage Module. Manufactured by VS America.
The VS 600 Series Offers Cupboards, Open Shelves, or Closed Compass Module Storage
Having had a brief foray into teaching higher ed., I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s like to teach elementary or high school. But I do know that any brave soul who takes on the task deserves a well-organized space.
The 600 Series modules help keep that objective well in sight. The flagship model of the collection is constructed of a tubular-steel skeleton with four posts, a solid-metal bottom, and three perforated-metal sides. It features vertical components and a tip to toe complement of runners to house three sizes of plastic box: small (yellow), medium (red), or large (green). The unit is partitioned internally with Lignopal chipboard laminated with melamine resin.
Next comes the Compass Module Series 600. This rather stern looking affair—especially when compared with its multi-colored counterpart—offers the self-same four-post steel tube, solid sheet base, and perforated sheet size, but houses uniform rail runners, such to accommodate up to 34 Compass universal boxes.
Lastly, the Serie 600 cupboards/open shelves come with casters or optional adjustable feet, as well as your choice of exposed shelves or double-wing doors made of Lignopal. Both styles offer the eminently useful feature of adjustable shelves. VS offers knob locks, personal property boxes, and rubber shelf mats as add-on options.
