“Inspired by retro cards, the Artists Armchair wraps you up like a cocoon.” This was a statement that our fellow design enthusiasts at Design Milk wrote of the solid wood frame, sprung seat and back, and upholstered dual density foam cushioning. It comes in a solid ash or oak base and a natural, light, or carbon stain, and is as lovable as a life-sized carnival prize.

OKHA’s design of a chaise/sofa hybrid is what they’ve titled the Curator Sofa. Referred to as their “ultimate salon sofa” that I would like to call a 21st century fainting bed sculpted to the max, it is definitely an ultra-modern structure with a distinctly classical twist. Its solid timber frame is topped with a sloped high density foam and upholstery. The Mercury Coffee Table is made from a hand beaten and mirror-polished stainless steel. It’s effect is slippery smooth but earthy at the same time. Measuring a clean 1140mmW x 1140mmL x 260mm H, this rippling surface coffee table does a lot more than embrace this week’s magazines.
