Tress and grass can grow within the parking area because the structural system of Grasspave2 protects vegetation root systems from deadly compaction. This is achieved through void spaces within the entire cross-section that enable root development, and storage capacity for rainfall from storm events.

In addition to protecting vegetation, Grasspave2 has a stormwater pollution filtration system and can capture and retain airborne dust. Parking lots come with inherent vehicle related issues, with Grasspave2 suspended pollutants and engine oils can be consumed by active soil bacteria.
