The Tuileries Collection of Ceramic Tiles by Walker Zanger
The Jardin des Tuileries in Paris is bound by the Seine, the Louvre, and the Place de la Concorde – making it arguably the apex to the fine city’s most dashing sights. Originally occupied by clay quarry and tile-making kilns, the garden found its way into the world of ceramics through its rich history. Speaking of which, designer Walker Zanger recently named his Tuileries Collection after the famous flora and fauna using a modern pampering of Parisian spirit to design these hand-finished ceramic wall tiles.

“…The line draws its influences from a variety of sources, including a 19th-century block-print fabric, early 20th-century fashion and classical wrought iron decoration,” the Tuileries Collection’s description boasts. “The collection’s color palette runs the gamut from traditional honey and oxblood to more contemporary grays and browns… includes field tiles, architectural moldings and decorative liners.”
Updating the tile look to a simplistic, clean, and decorative motif, the its versatility could transfer into a traditional or modern space. “With its hand-polished, uneven surface, it’s something you’ve just got to see,” states Tristan McManaman, Walker Zanger Marketing Director. “It’s a stunning collection that celebrates the beauty and aesthetic ‘joie de vivre’ of France.”
