Insidenorway Leans Into the Convita Chair by Svein Asbjørnsen for VAD
If the Convita recliner from the Insidenorway space at ICFF could speak, it would have told me what its own description reads on the VAD website: “The recliner follows the curves and movements of the body. Leaning back, the footrest will automatically rise, up to a perfect position for relaxation, with the feet at the same level as the heart.”

Recliner Fashion Unleashed at ICFF 2011: The Convita Lounge Chair by Svein Asbjørnsen for VAD
Designed by Svein Asbjørnsen of sapDesign for VAD, the Norweigen company brought their white version to the trade show circuit earlier this week and wowed us with comfort and an inviting, minimalistic Scandinavian style. “With improved flow of the blood. 5-10 minutes rest is enough to release the stress (in the Convita lounge chair),” the product description says on the VAD website.
The Convita comes in various models, colors, fabrics, leathers, and options such as an upholstered armrest or steel details. For models with the built-in footstool, the chair simply needs to lay back for it to activate. Maintaining a stylish profile in every model, the function of a this swiveling chair with height-adjustable headrest – with optional side support – clearly transforms this lounger into the chair of your dreams.
Set a couple up in your at-home movie theater or as a light addition to your screened-in porch, with Convita recliners you can changes up your decor using their variety of materials applied to each sleek physique. The base comes in beech that is stained or matched in a color to the side table, or in a steel or aluminum. Standing on any of these bases it desires, the Convita’s determination to relax us – the weary trade show-goers – will not be forgotten.
