An Ash Wood Frame Taut in Leather, the Modern Fred Desk Compliments the Ginger Chair by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau

Using a medium density fibreboard wooden top with a scratch-resistant black paint coating it, the Fred Desk is then covered with Saddle Leather Extra. It looks fluid, continuous, and structured to accommodate special design seekers with its seamless look. The edges help to “strengthen the sense of harmony” by dying them and finishing them with a smooth, protective wax. The front curves, without internal supports, by employing a special craft process perfected by Lazzeroni that glides right over into the desk drawer, which is mounted on soft-close runners. Both the drawer and Fred’s frame are constructed out of wenge-coloured solid ash wood for excellent lightness. Additionally, the desk is bevelled at 45 degrees to make it an easy opening for additional storage space.

With handmade carvings and cold markings on its surface, the Saddle Leather Extra comes in a dark brown or camel color – divine with the slick black finish of the fibreboard edges and frame. Add their new Ginger chair to Fred for a matching set of furnishings that are both scheduled for release at Salone in Milan this month.
