When push comes to shove, a lengthy buffet table or credenza in your living area settles the unrest of hungry guests while feeding their design appetite with fabulous serving and storage space. In this week’s Top Ten list, we will hold the lack luster hostage and replace the buffet tables of centuries past with those of the present. Check out the widespread assortment of buffets that include everything from three-dimensional button tufting and dual-purpose wine racks to pumiced aluminum and Swarovski crystal door handles.

There’s something rad about this industrial looking buffet table that inspired its insertion in this Top Ten list. Perhaps its the Pumiced Aluminum material with it’s glow that seems sleek yet “rough around the edges”, or the fact that it can be custom manipulated using a wood finish and created in custom sizes. Whatever it is, I adore the modern simplicity of the DR-33 by Antoine Proulx that can be used with a driftwood dining room table as easily as one made from tempered glass and steel.
