The Emu Ivy Seating by Paola Navone for Coalesse
Adding to their ever popular EMU Advanced Collection, Coalesse would consider the Emu Ivy Seating anything but a sequel to the line’s previous successes. This premium live/work furnishing company has been partnering with EMU’s award-winning indoor/outdoor furniture designs in the North American market since NeoCon 2009, and now, with the help of designer Paola Navone, the EMU Ivy Seating comes to life in a vitalizing patio chair or indoor stacker for the contract market.

“The IVY Collection by Paola Navone is inspired by the ancient art of topiary, creating ‘furniture-sculptures’ that are light and minimal, exploiting the versatility of the metal,” says Coalesse of their latest EMU chair. Navone is not the only designer who has collaborated with EMU and Coalesse to make great design available for larger, contract projects. In fact, Jean-Marie Massaud, Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, and Christophe Pillet, to name a few, are other world famous designers who have invested their masterful creative juices into the “craftsmanship, versatility, and innovative use of metal” of EMU.
The Ivy stacking chair’s delicate design is not to be confused with a lack of strength. This dainty seat comes equipped with the hardcore strength and durability of its solid steel makeup. It can be paired with new seat and backrest cushions that were recently developed using the full fabric line of twelve different outdoor-fabrics and numerous others for indoor use.
Available in three different powder-coated colors – turquoise, orange or white – the gorgeous simplicity of the Ivy Chair by Paola Navone matches the Ivy square and rectangular coffee tables for a married effect to completely cap off the finesse of contract design by Coalesse.
