Mini Mid-Century Modernism: House Numbers by Heath Ceramics
We welcome the dead grass peering through heeps of snow with cleaning and planting. It feels great to outline the goals we have for our home even before the winter blues completely wear off. This year, the appreciative crowd who might follow mid-century modern design will have an entirely new way to proclaim 2011 will be different by way of the House Numbers by Heath Ceramics that are scheduled for release this May.

Craving a Classic California Facade? Hang new House Numbers this May 2011 by Heath Ceramics and House Industries
“Joined together in mutual admiration, Heath Ceramics and House Industries bring you Heath House Numbers,” briefly states their website – as if they’re far too busy prototpying and firing to give the press and consumers more info before they’re out of the kilns. The California-based company continues, describing them simply as “3-dimensional clay tiles celebrating the legendary Neutra and Eames number fonts.” Following up with that, what more can you ask for? Heath Ceramics, Neutra, and Eames used in the same product description is a tell-tale sign for well-crafted success.

In collaboration with House Industries, Heath Ceramics combined their years of knowledge dealing with “clay, kilns, and craft with House Industries’ numerical interpretation of the Eames and Neutra legacies in a timeless tribute to a classic California aesthetic.” In an earthy matte glaze or a glossy glaze, the manganese clay numbers will start at $45 each. Keeping it simple, the glazes look to be offered in a warm and fiery red, clean white, or black, and all with a bit of natural, tan-colored clay exposed.
Falling right in line with the other homeware, tableware, and tiles offered by Heath Ceramics – as well as with your timeline for home improvements come spring – the House Numbers by House Industries and Heath plant priceless mid-century modern style onto your home’s facade.
