Treemme’s Hedo Faucet
As you may have noticed from recent posts like Gessi’s Goccia Kitchen Faucet and Kohler’s Flipside, we here at 3rings are always on the lookout for an alternating stream, so to speak, when it comes to water delivery. Indeed, we’re constantly excited by the shape of water, whether it emerges in a heavy duty capacity like washing dishes or in service of a more refined charge like simple hand washing. This would seem to be the province of the new Hedo Faucet by manufacturer Treemme. A diminutive number with the sturdy aspect of a yearling fir, Hedo yet manages to be sinuous and sculptural too.

Large Waterfall-Style Aperture Will Wash Your Cares Away
I like to speculate that the manufacturer’s name, with its exaggeration of ee’s and em’s, is meant to evoke the prototypical young tree as suggested above, though further investigation reveals it to be a subsidiary of IB Rubinetterie, a company that—as evinced by the intriguing contours of the Drop Showerhead and the My God! Faucet—has other models besides nature’s bounty. Whatever the antecedent of the name, Treemme’s Hedo carves out new aesthetic territory. And, yes, I mean that in the silly sense, since Hedo’s sharp contours make it look as if it had been sculpted from a tree trunk.
Hopefully, the metaphor works, largely because the look of the piece reconciles organic form with purposeful construction. The upshot is a clean, curvy look that’s a nice complement for Hedo’s elegant rush of water. And on that score, the oversized aperture creates a smooth stream that splashes less and soothes more than conventional designs.
Finish options for Hedo include traditional chrome, white chrome, and black chrome, as well as brushed nickel. Each shade is equally stylish and appealing, and at home among a variety of modern decors.
