Andreu World in Reverse
Piergiorgio Cazzaniga knows how to create an award-winning seat. This Italian designer is already known for his 1995 design of the Mariposa Chair which won “Chair of the Year” at Udine, and his Bloom armchair, M1 chair, or the Lofty seat collection that were selected for the 2001 and 2004 I-Dot Awards, to name a few. But in a different test of his design character which he recently brought to the table, literally, Cazzaniga proved himself as an all-around hitter in the industrial furniture design world.
Going in Reverse: A Modern, 100% Recyclable Polyethylene Table by Pierogiorgio Cazzaniga for Andreu World
In collaboration with the Spanish manufacturer Andreu World, the Reverse Table has been brought to life atop its 100% recyclable polyethylene base. Andreu World calls it a “sculptural, proportioned form, allowing great freedom and different sizes of table top”. In its modern form, with simple contours that gradually flow from a wide, circular base up to is ultra sleek table top in a round or square shape, the Reverse table makes a nice addition to any breakfast nook, office area, or quaint, dining room setting. It comes in five colors, of a bright or matte finish, that include: Black, White, Red Cayenne, Chocolate Brown, or Cement Gray.
Considering the spatial restrictions of apartment dwellings and the stairwell hike it sometimes takes to reach it, Andreu World and Cazzaniga constructed the tables in various sizes and weights based on material usage. Each table has a height of 28.5″ or 29.5″, a base diameter of between 15″ and 19.75″, and a column diameter of between 8″ and 12″. Although some come in pure polyethylene, the heavier versions have tempered glass tops with the base in polyethylene. The square table tops come in 35.5″ x 35.5″ or 51.25″ x 51.25″ sizes, while the round tops are available in 39.5″, 55.25″ 59.25″ or 63.25″, depending on the material used.
With its different sizes and handful of colors offered, the multi-functional modern Reverse table is a handy way to bring a dash of color and style into your space.
