Pick the Cotton Tree: Eco-friendly Wallpaper by MissPrint
While shuffling through the Philadelphia airport yesterday afternoon I bought the most recent copy of Dwell. Thanks to them and their products section, I saw my new favorite wallpaper company that is based in a studio by the river that overlooks beautiful East London.
Cotton Tree Wallpaper. Designed by MissPrint.
MissPrint is their name, and they create modern wallpaper designs in PEFC certified paper – that promotes the sustainable management of forests – that are manufactured right in the UK. Their latest is the Cotton Tree Wallpaper, and, like every other one of their wallpapers, it uses organic pigment inks that are naturally toxic-free, contain no heavy metals, and are non-carcinogenic.
Nature Inspired Wall Coverings
Besides being responsible, they’re colorful, happy people – just like the Designer Pages crew! It’s easy to notice the joy factor by looking at their designs alone, but their website articulates it perfectly, stating “our designs are inspired by our surroundings, the nature within the urban environment and the rich and diverse mix of cultures.” In addition, each of their amazing designs was originally just a hand drawing before it was transferred into a product that comes in a wide assortment of colors.
In their latest design, the Cotton Tree wallpaper is offered in your choice of six different color schemes. Three are in a matte finish: Snapdragon Red, Buttercup Yellow, and Sunset. Priced and sized the same as the matte finish, the following three are in a matte/metallic finish: Sky Blue, Sage Grey, and Gunmetal. It has a 52 cm Half Drop repeat size and the Cotton Tree line – along with every other wallpaper they produce – measures 52cm x 10 meters (a standard size roll).
