Purist Kitchen Faucet by Kohler Will Have a Hold on You
The Purist line of kitchen faucets by Kohler is new–so new that the entire collection is listed as “Coming Soon!” on their website (with the exclamation point too, that’s not my emphasis). As you might imagine, given its name, the Purist Kitchen Faucet does not contain anything extraneous, nor does it mix discordant elements: it simply articulates the pure–in its lines and its uses. Kohler explains that the “Purist line of kitchen faucets combines modern style and easy-to-use features.” The faucet can be turned on even with wet hands.
Purist. Designed by Kohler.
It also integrates push-button spray, aerate, and pause capabilities in one temperature and volume control. Everything is at your fingertips in a lovely upside down “J” (some might say “L”)–it depends on the font. The simplicity of the unit lies in its singular form, which does not get interrupted by anything ornamental. All of the functions are accessed through the same sleek arc.
Available models will have either pullout or swing spouts–in order to fulfill everyone’s desires (who knew faucet functions could sound so sexy?). The Purist Kitchen Faucet comes in polished chrome for those who like their kitchens gleaming: white subway tiles, Corian Illumination series, and Tmio ovens. For lovers of everything dark and sultry, Kohler offers the Purist Faucet in matte black. These look great in understated kitchens. They’re also a favorite among the vampires who walk amongst us, as well as the regular depressives. All kidding aside, the matte black is a great alternative, especially since more and more kitchens (and baths) are introducing and integrating more colors.
