Precision 16 by Blanco America Saves Space (and Stone)

German company Blanco has been making stainless steel sinks since 1925. They may be old, but they are not passé. Their newest smart product is Precision 16″, a sink that’s meant to appeal to designers everywhere due to its modest size. Precision 16″ fits “standard 25″ cabinets, offering designers and consumers a deep, spacious bowl design that protects the integrity of precious stone countertops–making it easy for fabricators to safely cut rare surfaces–while leaving more room for faucets.”

The idea behind Precision 16″ is to cater to consumers who favor exotic stones for their kitchen countertops. Tim Maicher, Director of Marketing for Blanco, explains the genesis of this newest sink: “The challenge for fabricators is to cut delicate stone for a large sink, while maintaining the stone’s integrity and strength. A fabricator’s dream, PRECISION 16″ respects the stone by providing optimal space and depth within the most popular standard cabinet spaces.” Responding to the reality of your consumers’ needs is clever, but the added financial benefit is an extra boon: by avoiding dangerous cuts and breaks to pricey stone surfaces, Precision 16″ could save thousands of dollars (not to mention weeks of time).

While Precision 16″ was developed for a specific purpose and market, the sink upholds Blanco’s strict quality standards. The bottom of all the Precision 16″ models is utterly, fantastically flat, saving your precious glassware. Available with an exacting zero radius or smooth 10 mm radius corners, Precision 16″ offers the options that all other Blanco products are known for. The collection includes single and double bowl options and sinks with stainless drainboards—the cook’s needs are never far off with Blanco. Currently, “Blanco is the only supplier in the world to produce sinks from start to finish in three materials.” They focus on durability and quality above all else—without, however, sacrificing style. Use the Precision 16″ for any project with standard 25″ cabinetry—everyone with a remodel in their future should pay attention, given that so many of us inherit that default counter measure. Blanco now makes it possible for people to keep the skeleton and add a quality stone countertop without fear of compromising the expensive material.
