Tino Table
The Tino Table is one of the products originating from Nero3, an design group headquartered in Padova, Italy, whose philosophy centers around three things: innovation, creativity, and exclusivity. The Nero3 style is “unique and inimitable,” according to their mission-and the Tino Table is a perfect example.
Tino Table. Designed by Andrea Scarpellini. Manufactured by Nero3.
Available in the United States through Design Around Objects (DAO) out of Los Angeles, the Tino Table is a seating group that consists of a round table and curved modular seats. When the seats are pushed in, the Tino Table is a perfect circle, somewhat like a futuristic flower bud waiting to grow. The table itself is composed of a round extra clear ½” glass top on a stainless steel base (our futuristic flora’s stem). The design shows how chairs and table work together in a symbiotic relationship-each part beautiful on its own, but enhanced when grouped together. From an aerial perspective, the Tino Table is a perfect cylinder when the chairs are pushed in; removing one or more of the modular seats changes the circle to arcs of various length.
The Tino Table is all about the power of transformation: how furniture can change its own dimensions in adaptation to its surrounding space (sort of Darwinian). The Burj al-Arab hotel in Dubai is a perfect home for the Tino Table, as is the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles-but why limit the mutable Tino Table? Put on the retro sounds of Boston Typewriter Orchestra, order sushi for six, and let the Tino Table be the locus of your party.
