At Bklyn Designs: Wonder Collection by Argington

When it comes to modern contemporary furniture for children, no one does it better than Argington. Run by Brooklyn-based design couple Jenny Argie and Andrew Thornton, the duo will showcase their work at BKLYN DESIGNS and we suggest you have a look.

All products by Argington seek to adhere to the principle of "green design" and strive to be a part of the bigger picture. Additionally, with emphasis on family values, Argington creations tend to explore the inherent all encompassing love a parent feels for a child.

With the Wonders Collection, it is clear that Argie and Andrew Thornton want to gently and subtlety steer the young mind towards a path of self-learning and exploration. Steeped in history, the Wonder Collection transcends geographical and cultural barriers as each piece of furniture is named from one of the listed wonders of the world.

My favorite pieces from the Wonders Collection are no doubt the Taj Chair and the Giza Table. The Taj Chair may not be as magnificent as its namesake, however the designer duo have managed to capture the sheer purity of the TAJ. The chair is available in finishes like Birch, White, Walnut, Red Maple, Cherry, Birch/orange, Birch/blue and is suitable for ages 2 to 4.

If the Taj Chair transports you to Exotic India then the Giza Table pays homage to the magnificent and awe-inspiring Pyramids. Suitable for ages 2 to 4, the tabletop measures approximately 30″ x 30″.

Argington is the consequence of one couple's vision that was nurtured into a reality… no pun intended. A dynamic presence in the modern furniture scene, all works by Argington mostly speak of family values and according to Argington their furniture "shares a common design aesthetic - clean, simple, and tasteful."
