Bernhardt Design, in collaboration with curators Dominique Gonfard and Adriana Gelves, will present America Made Me, an exhibition looking at the spirit, personality and talent behind contemporary American design. The exhibit is on view at DesignJunction September 19-23.
Featuring thirteen designers and seven manufacturing brands, America Made Me presents a glimpse into the range of methods, materials and movements that drive the country’s design market. The work of exciting emerging designers, like Steve Oh, Jonathan Nesci and Mike & Maaike, is showcased alongside that of more established designers, such as Jonah Takagi, Lindsey Adelman and Joe Doucet, introducing to London both the breadth and coherence of the American aesthetic.
Manufacturers represented in America Made Me include: Bernhardt Design (North Carolina), Council Design (Los Angeles), Lerival (New York), Matter Made (New York), Neal Fay (Santa Barbara, CA), Odabashian (Miami), and Roll & Hill (New York).
America Made Me is the official entry of the United States during the second phase of the British Council’s 2012 International Showcase. The exhibition will be on view at DesignJunction from September 19th - 23rd, 2012, during the London Design Festival.
